The Converse One Star was born in 1974 as a low-top evolution of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star. Three technical pivots: a thick suede upper, a reinforced vulcanised gum sole, and the signature single embroidered star on the side panel — giving the model its name. Worn in NBA in the late 70s including by Magic Johnson early in his career.
Cultural reign in the 90s skate scene and grunge movement — with Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) regularly wearing the model from 1991-1992.
