Marvel: figures, LEGO, cards and bags from the Marvel universe, authenticated resell

The Marvel collection at MTHOR Shop brings together 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures, LEGO Marvel sets, sealed Topps Chrome Marvel card boxes, X-Men and Iron Man Bearbrick, Magic: The Gathering Marvel's Spider-Man boosters and Sprayground Marvel backpacks, all inspected by our experts before shipping. Whether you want to buy a collectible Marvel figure, a hard-to-find LEGO Marvel set, a Hot Toys Spider-Man or Iron Man, or a sealed Topps Marvel hobby box, you will find the most sought-after pieces of Marvel pop culture here, gathered in one place and sold authenticated. The universe created by Marvel Comics, born in 1939 as Timely Comics, is today one of the most widely adapted licenses in the world: films, series, comics, video games, but also collectibles made by specialist manufacturers such as Hot Toys, LEGO, Topps, Medicom Toy or Funko. At MTHOR, we select the items collectors really look for: limited editions, convention exclusives, sealed boxes and collaborations.

The history of Marvel, from Timely Comics to collectibles

Marvel was born in 1939 in New York, when publisher Martin Goodman founded Timely Comics and released Marvel Comics #1, dated October 1939, which introduced the Human Torch and Namor the Sub-Mariner. In March 1941, Captain America Comics #1 launched the character of Captain America, who would become one of the pillars of the house. The real turning point came in 1961: Martin Goodman asked writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby for a new team of superheroes, the Fantastic Four, whose first issue, dated November 1961, inaugurated the shared Marvel universe. Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, the X-Men and the Avengers followed in the early 1960s and form the foundation of what is known today as the Marvel Universe. On August 31, 2009, The Walt Disney Company announced the acquisition of Marvel Entertainment for around 4 billion dollars, opening the decade of Marvel Cinematic Universe films and an explosion of merchandise.

On the collectibles side, the key dates are just as precise. Topps, founded in 1938 in Brooklyn by the Shorin brothers, published its first card series in 1950 and has belonged to Fanatics Collectibles since January 2022; its Topps Chrome Marvel series borrow the codes of sports cards (refractor parallels, autographs, Sapphire Edition) and apply them to Marvel heroes. Hot Toys, founded in 2000 in Hong Kong by Howard Chan, moved from 1/6 military figures to movie licenses with its Movie Masterpiece Series, which became the benchmark for high-end Marvel figures. The first Medicom Toy Bearbrick was distributed on May 27, 2001 in Tokyo, and the brand has since multiplied collaborations, including the X-Men and Iron Man series found in this collection. LEGO launched its Marvel Super Heroes theme in April 2012 with seven first sets dedicated to the Avengers, the X-Men and Spider-Man. Finally, Wizards of the Coast released the Magic: The Gathering Marvel's Spider-Man set on September 26, 2025, while Sprayground, founded in 2010 in New York by graphic artist David Ben David, brings Marvel heroes to its shark-print backpacks.

The flagship piece: the Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece 1/6 scale figure

The Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece figure is the most sought-after piece in the Marvel collection at MTHOR, because it reproduces at 1/6 scale, about thirty centimeters, the exact look of the characters from the Marvel Studios films. Each Movie Masterpiece figure is built on an articulated body dressed in fabric or armor, a head sculpted and hand-painted after the actor, and a set of interchangeable accessories: hands, light effects, weapons, a named stand. The "Diecast" versions, such as the War Machine Mark IV, include molded metal parts that give weight and a metallic finish to the armor. Three benefits explain their status: unmatched cinematic fidelity in the world of licensed figures, thanks to the scanning of costumes and faces; full articulation and numerous accessories that let you recreate poses from the films, from Iron Spider-Man's flight to Thor's Stormbreaker throw; and a lasting collectible value, as the figures are produced in limited runs, delivered in a numbered window box, then sought after on the secondary market once production has ended. For a buyer, the central question is condition: a complete Hot Toys, with its box, foam insert and all its accessories, is traded very differently from an incomplete figure. That is precisely what our inspection checks, item by item, before applying the MTHOR seal.

What makes these pieces sought after comes down to three factors: the Marvel license itself, the rarity of the edition (LEGO sets removed from the catalog, sealed card boxes from past years, limited-run Bearbrick, convention exclusives) and the state of preservation, which our team documents systematically.

FAQ — Marvel at MTHOR

How does MTHOR verify the authenticity of a Hot Toys Marvel figure or a LEGO Marvel set?

At MTHOR, every Marvel item is inspected by our team before shipping: for a Hot Toys, we check the window box, the inner foam insert, the presence of all accessories listed by the manufacturer, the paint quality and the markings under the stand; for a LEGO set, the integrity of the bags and of the box seal; for a Topps card box or a Magic booster, the factory plastic wrap and the tamper-evident strips. The UV lamp and the microscope are used for the finest checks, then we apply our seal.

Are the Topps Chrome Marvel card boxes and the Magic Spider-Man boosters sold sealed?

Yes. The Topps Chrome Marvel hobby, mega and value boxes and the Magic: The Gathering Marvel's Spider-Man Collector or Play Booster Boxes in the Marvel collection are sold factory sealed, never opened or re-sorted. The cards inside remain random, in line with the configuration announced by Topps or Wizards of the Coast.

What exactly is in the parcel for a Hot Toys figure or a Marvel Bearbrick bought at MTHOR?

You receive the complete piece as described on the product page: for a Hot Toys, the figure, its original box, its foam insert and all the accessories and interchangeable hands; for a Bearbrick, the figure in its Medicom Toy box; for a LEGO set, the sealed box with its bags and instruction booklet. Everything is protected in a reinforced shipping box and comes with the MTHOR seal.

What is the delivery time for a Marvel collectible?

We ship worldwide, with home delivery against signature within 2 to 8 days. You get real-time tracking by email and WhatsApp, wherever you are.

Are there customs fees to pay when receiving a Marvel order?
