Pop Smoke's story : the meteoric rise of a legend

Born July 20, 1999 in Brooklyn, Pop Smoke grew up in the Canarsie neighborhood. Raised between a Jamaican mother and a Panamanian father, he started rapping in 2018 on UK drill instrumentals carried by British producer 808Melo. His first hit, “Welcome to the Party”, dropped in 2019 and instantly became the New York summer anthem.
