For the Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of 4 July 1776, the United States Mint launched an exceptional series in 2026: the Armed Forces 250th Anniversary American Eagle Proof coins, dedicated to the US Army (founded 14 June 1775, struck at West Point), the US Navy (13 October 1775, San Francisco) and the US Marine Corps (10 November 1775, Philadelphia), the 2026 "Declaration of Independence" quarters sold in P and D rolls, the 2026 Presidential dollar in a bag of 100 coins and the 2026 Congratulations Set, a gift box containing a Silver Eagle Proof. These limited mintages, sold out within days on the official website, are the ones that gain the most value on the secondary market.
