How MTHOR authenticates every item before shipping

Every item sold by MTHOR SHOP (sneakers, streetwear, bags or collectibles) goes through an inspection by our team of experts before shipping, covering five systematic points: the consistency of the box and the size label, the material, smell, stitching, shape and sole, as well as the laces and accessories. For the most in-depth checks, especially on the most counterfeited models on the market, we use a UV lamp and a microscope to detect details invisible to the naked eye. Once the inspection is passed, every order ships with an MTHOR seal attached to the item: tangible proof, on delivery, that the item has gone through this entire process.

The 5 inspection points in detail

• Box and size label: consistency between the SKU printed on the box, the inner label and the model actually inside the box — a mismatch is often the first red flag on a non-compliant pair.
• Material and smell: the leather, suede or technical materials must match exactly those used by the brand on that specific model; an unusual chemical smell of glue or plastic is a classic sign of a counterfeit.
• Stitching and shape: even, regular stitching, no loose threads, and an overall silhouette true to the original last.
• Sole: texture, density and tread pattern of the outsole, consistent with the manufacturing standards of the model and its release year.

What does the MTHOR seal on the item mean?

The MTHOR seal is attached to the item once the authenticity check has been completed and passed. If it is intact on delivery, it guarantees that the item has not been used since our inspection and that the inspection was indeed carried out.
