Bobby Hundreds, born Bobby Kim, is the co-founder of the Californian streetwear brand The Hundreds, launched in Los Angeles in 2003 with Ben Shenassa and known for its Adam Bomb mascot. An artist, the author of This Is Not a T-Shirt (2019) and a leading figure in streetwear culture, Bobby Hundreds designed a Bearbrick released by Medicom Toy in the DesignerCon Artist Series 4, a box set of five 100% Bearbricks bringing together Doktor A, Bobby Hundreds, Nina Palomba, Shag and Hannah Webb. The Bearbrick DesignerCon Artist Series 4 box set
The DesignerCon Artist Series is a line of 100% Bearbricks (7 cm) released by Medicom Toy for DesignerCon, the American art toy and design convention. Each edition invites five artists to customise the Bearbrick silhouette, and the run is sold only at the show, which explains how rare it is in Europe. Series 4 brings together British artist Doktor A and his steampunk universe, Bobby Hundreds and The Hundreds aesthetic, illustrator Nina Palomba, painter Shag (Josh Agle) and his mid-century tiki style, and Hannah Webb. The box set is one to collect complete: a sealed set of five is worth considerably more than the figures sold separately, and it is a natural addition to any The Hundreds, Adam Bomb or artist Bearbrick collection.
